Multipel skleros (MS) är en kronisk inflammatorisk sjukdom i det centrala nervsystemet som påverkar mer än två miljoner människor över hela världen. MS är den näst vanligaste orsaken till neurologiska funktionshinder hos unga vuxna. Sjukdomsprogressionen varierar mellan patienter men orsakar ofta olika grader av funktionshinder.
