The Unit for Surgical and Urological Research at KI DS
The Unit for Surgical and Urological Research at KI DS studies common surgical and urological conditions, ranging from prostate and colorectal cancer to obesity, gallstones, and abdominal wall hernias, as well as how these conditions are best treated.
The research is led by clinically active surgeons and urologists in collaboration with a large network of partners, both nationally and internationally. A significant portion of our research is conducted as clinical studies together with other healthcare providers and researchers. Research takes place at both Danderyd Hospital and Ersta Hospital.
