Our research
We study how factors such as diet, physical activity, and body composition influence the risk, prognosis, survivorship, and quality of life in kidney cancer. A central focus of our research is cancer survivorship, where we explore how patients with kidney cancer and their next of kin experience the care pathway from the first symptoms to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, and how lifestyle support is integrated throughout and after treatment.
Through both clinical and epidemiological studies, we aim to generate knowledge that can strengthen person-centred care and support sustainable lifestyle changes. We also investigate how mHealth and digital solutions can be used to promote and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviours. By integrating both patient and family perspectives into our research, we seek to contribute to sustainable, high-quality cancer care.
