Research
The team Stockholm Centre for Health Economics research how scarce healthcare resources can be allocated to promote efficiency, equity, and improved health. Our research covers all aspects of health economics, from broad structural issues such as how reimbursement models to healthcare providers are designed, to the measurement and validation of indicators of patients’ self-reported health and quality of life. In health economic evaluations, we relate the costs of different interventions to their outcomes in terms of life, health, and quality of life.
About us
Several members of the team are employed by the Stockholm Centrum för Hälsoekonomi (StoCHE), which is part of Centrum för hälsoekonomi, informatik och sjukvårdsforskning (CHIS) within Stockholms läns sjukvårdsområde (SLSO), Region Stockholm. However, the team is broader than the unit within Region Stockholm, and affiliated researchers also hold positions at several other universities, Governmental authorities, and more.
Many of our affiliated researchers teach in the master’s program in health economics, policy, and management.
