Research at KI DS
Research at KI DS is primarily clinical and is carried out in close collaboration with Danderyd Hospital. It covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including anaesthesiology, cardiology, neurology, surgery and rehabilitation. The department has nearly 30 professors and senior lecturers, as well as around 100 PhD students, and publishes approximately 250 scientific articles each year.

KFC (the Clinical Research Centre at Danderyd Hospital), is a joint support function for clinical trials at Danderyd Hospital and the Department of Clinical Sciences, KI DS. KFC Danderyd Hospital is a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Danderyd Hospital and forms part of KI-CLINICUM.

The Clinical AI Research Laboratory, CAIR-Lab, is a unique innovation laboratory entirely dedicated to developing clinical applications that utilise artificial intelligence (AI). Since its inception, we have carried out several projects in various medical fields. CAIR-Lab is part of CLINICUM at Karolinska Institutet and is based at Danderyd Hospital and KI DS.
