Neurovascular diseases – Christina Sjöstrand research group
The Neurovascular Diseases research group, led by Associate Professor Christina Sjöstrand, conducts clinical and translational research on stroke, migraine, PFO, cardiac interventions, and genetic small vessel diseases. The group manages large volumes of migraine patients and initiates studies on treatment effects. Collaborations include neurogenetics, insurance medicine, cardiology, and stroke care. The research covers clinical cohorts, registry data, biomarkers, and genetic analyses, aiming to improve diagnostics, risk stratification, and treatment of neurovascular diseases.
