Welcome to the page of the research group SuN-Rise: Surgical Nursing Research, Innovation and Surgical Education, SuN-Rise led by Ami Fagerdahl.

The research group SuN-RISE aims to advance research on the education and training of healthcare professionals involved in surgical care, thereby contributing to both improved patient outcomes and professional development.

The group also emphasises the management of surgical complications, such as postoperative wound infections, where research on wounds and wound treatment forms a crucial part. By combining expertise in surgery, nursing, and education, SuN-RISE at KI SÖS and Södersjukhuset aims to create a unique platform for collaboration that strengthens knowledge, improves care, and ultimately enhances patient well-being.
