Epidemiology: Diet, contaminants and health – Agneta Åkesson's research group

We perform epidemiological research with the aim to advance knowledge on disease etiology and prevention, within a broad range of public health-related outcomes. Large focus lays on the link between diet, lifestyle, and health, also including aspects of sustainability and consequences of contaminant exposure via food and drinking water. We utilize extensive cohort-, biomarker-, omics-, and health register data, and perform Mendelian randomization studies.
