One of the major remaining challenges in caring for critically ill newborns is preventing and treating brain injury and prevent adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes.

The ultimate goals of our research program are to

  • build up systematical assessment of outcomes after altered neonatal care strategies and interventions and to
  • test new interventions to prevent brain injury and ameliorate outcomes in newborns at high risk of neurodevelopmental impairments.
