Causal inference in epidemiologic research – Arvid Sjölander's research group

We develop statistical methods for drawing causal inference from observational data, with particular focus on Swedish register-based studies.

Our research

We develop statistical methods for drawing causal inference from observational data, with particular focus on Swedish register-based studies. We have developed methods for estimation of attributable fractions, analysis of twin- and sibling-data, instrumental variable estimation and doubly robust estimation. We have also developed sensitivity analysis for unmeasured confounding, and non-parametric bounds for estimation of causal effects.
