Surgery and Urology at KI DS

In the field of surgery and urology, we study common surgical and urological conditions, ranging from prostate and colorectal cancer to obesity, gallstones and abdominal wall hernias, and how these conditions are best treated.

The research is led by practising surgeons and urologists in collaboration with a large network of partners, both nationally and internationally. A significant proportion of our research is carried out as clinical trials in collaboration with other healthcare providers and researchers. The research is conducted at both Danderyd Hospital and Ersta Hospital.
