Translational Pharmacology – Kent Jardemark's team

Our research aims at understanding the mechanisms of action of novel biological pharmaceuticals on tumor cells.

Our research

Our research mainly focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms of action on neurotransmitters in brain of drugs used to treat psychiatric conditions, for example schizophrenia and major depression.

Specifically, we are investigating how adjunctive therapies can enhance the efficacy of existing medications for the psychiatric conditions. In the end, the research aims to find new therapeutic strategies to improve cognitive impairment and the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, which traditional medications often fail to treat effectively.
