PCR core facility
OnkPat/Theme Cancer core facilities are available for staff at the Department of Oncology-Pathology in addition to research Theme Cancer in BioClinicum. New users need an introduction to get authorized. Contact information to responsible persons can be found below. Before using this core facility send your certificate from KI laboratory safety introduction to Paula Mannström. Access to the building is also required.

General information: The new users should contact the responsible person for an introduction. To be added to the booking calendar Clustermarket, contact Paula Mannström. Annual preventive maintenance service is done by BioRad. To open and close the lid, use the button and not push the lid! The software Maestro is installed at the Data Analysis PC Computer in J6:14 U210066220 and can be used to analyze the data.

General information:
The GeneExplorer GE-96G is available for standard PCR applications, gradient PCR optimization, and RNA sequencing library preparation workflows. It is a 96-well thermal cycler with gradient capability, stable temperature performance, and an automated heated lid designed to accommodate different 0.2 mL reaction formats. The system is particularly useful for users who need reliable thermal control for routine work as well as for optimization of more demanding PCR assays.
New users should contact the responsible person to receive an introduction and in case of problems or questions.

QuantStudio™ 7 Flex Real Time PCR System, QS7, has exchangeable blocks for 96-well, and 384-well TaqMan array cards. Plate Centrifuge is available.
New users. This is a Core facility for Theme Cancer and is accessible by authorized persons only. You need to request new user training and operating instructions for the instrument through iLab “Request Services”, and after introductory training and registration of each new user in iLab, the authorization will be granted.
The instruments can ONLY be used through booking in iLab, (schedule equipment). More information on how to register in iLab.
