CSIB deciphers the spatiotemporal molecular logic of infection at single-cell and sub-cellular resolution. Super-resolution microscopy and nanoscopy resolve host–pathogen interactions in situ, approaching near-atomic detail and bridging structural and cellular biology. Spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, and spatial metabolomics profile infected tissues without dissociating their architecture, capturing the infection microenvironment remodeling that bulk sequencing cannot see. Systems-biology and network-medicine frameworks, driven by machine learning and multi-scale modelling, integrate these heterogeneous omics layers with patient-derived materials, organoid models, and longitudinal clinical cohorts to generate mechanistic, predictive models of infection dynamics.
