About me

  • I received my PhD from Karolinska Institute in the field of Epigenetics and Bioinformatics under the supervision of Professor Karl Ekwall.

My first postdoctoral research was conducted at the Department of Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics, under the guidance of Professor Sten Linnarsson and Professor Patrik Ernfors. During this period, I was involved in analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, including RNA-seq, miRNA, and single-cell RNA sequencing.

For my second postdoctoral position, I worked at the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition in the Estrogen Signaling Research Group, led by Professor Karin Dahlman-Wright.

After completing my postdoctoral research, I spent several years as a Senior Bioinformatics Researcher at the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition, KI; the Childhood Cancer Research Unit at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, KI, and the Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University.

Currently, I am working as a Senior Bioinformatics Research Specialist at The Systems Virology Lab, Department of Laboratory Medicine, KI. In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the data management plan and bioinformatics analysis for the EU-funded COMBAT project, an initiative aimed at combating the global dengue epidemic.

Research

  • My current research focuses are on bioinformatics analysis in virology, particularly in data management and bioinformatics analysis for the EU-funded COMBAT project aimed at combating the global dengue epidemic.

Additionally, I have expertise in epigenetics, single-cell sequencing, RNA-seq, and childhood cancer research, with a broader interest in tumor heterogeneity and genomic evolution.
