Research networks at KI
The purpose of the research networks is to create opportunities for researchers at KI to meet, collaborate, and learn from each other within their respective fields of research, regardless of geographical location or organisational affiliation. The networks bring together both preclinical and clinical researchers. A number of our research networks receive central funding, but not all. In some cases, the networks are also regional or national, but are coordinated by researchers at KI.
Interdisciplinary research networks
Interdisciplinary research networks receive funding from the Research Committee at KI, applied for through a competitive process. The purpose of this network form is to enhance the quality of KI’s research by bringing together researchers across departmental boundaries within important methodological and subject areas. Current grants are SEK 350,000 or SEK 600,000 per year for the period 2025-2027. For the period 2027-2029, the Research Committee has awarded annual funding of SEK 625,000 to each network.
