Our treatments
At the Faculty Dental Practice, all patients from the age of 24 are welcome to receive the best general dental care there is. You can also get preventive dental care so that you can keep your teeth healthy longer.
If you need it, we can refer you to the University Dental Clinic’s Specialist Clinic in the same building where you can get help if you have large and more complex dental problems.
The dentists and dental hygienists you meet at the teacher clinic are teachers at Karolinska Institutet's dentistry and dental hygienist programmes.
Examination
During an examination, the dentist checks your teeth and your mouth and also gives you information on how to take care of your oral health in a good way to prevent problems.
The dentist checks if you have cavities in your teeth, gingivitis, tooth loss or other signs of mouth disease. The examination also includes four X-ray images that enable the dentist to detect any problems that cannot be detected with the unaided eye. If you have any signs of illness or an increased risk, the dentist suggests several treatment options and then cost proposals.

The Faculty Dental Practice is linked to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), so you can of course use your general dental care benefit with us.
