150 universities have been included in the 2026 QS World University Rankings for Dentistry, in which KI has been ranked number one in the world! This achievement is a credit to every member of staff.
This ranking is the result of long-term strategic work and the determined, dedicated and talented staff and students. Swedish dental care maintains high standards and enjoys an excellent international reputation. Our students help spread awareness of our programmes; everyone who has studied and worked here is our ambassador. KI’s strong and well-regarded brand also played a significant role in this recognition.
This enhances our international appeal, which is important for student exchanges and research collaborations.
QS university rankings
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) is a British company specialising in university rankings. The rankings are mainly based on scientific publication data and global academic reputation surveys. More than 1,500 institutions are included in the analysis, which covers 54 subject areas and five horizontal areas, only a few of which are relevant to a medical university like KI. KI is not included in the QS general university ranking, which only includes multi-faculty universities. It was published annually in the summer.
