SRP Diabetes Fellowship Grants
The Fellowship Programme was launched in 2021 with so far four rounds of awarded grants to PIs at Karolinska Institutet.
Principal investigators at Karolinska Institutet are eligible to submit a project for consideration to the SRP Diabetes Postdoctoral Fellowship Program within basic, translational, clinical, and/or epidemiological research with an emphasis on diabetes and its comorbidities (e.g. cardiovascular and liver disease). Projects should have a clear relevance for diabetic disease and principal investigators should document their track record in diabetes related research. Applications are externally evaluated, see selection committee below.
In the fourth round of fellowship grants a total of six projects were awarded. Of twenty-four received applications in category 1, four were awarded and of eleven received applications in category 2, two were awarded. (Project numbers are ordered after the last name of the main PI).

Category 2: Collaborative project of translational nature within the areas above. Projects by two PIs/supervisors where one should be an active clinician and the other a basic scientist with a clear complementary expertise.
