Research at the Department of Neuroscience deals with different aspects of the function of the nervous system. The research projects include a broad range of studies at the molecular and cellular levels, the network level and at the level of the overall organization of the nervous system. With its four main research areas, the department currently has close to forty research groups, 48 doctoral students and in total approximately 190 employees and affiliates.
