Orthopaedics
We conduct clinically grounded and internationally recognised research with the aim of improving care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and diseases. Our research focuses on new implants and surgical methods in arthroplasty, improved care for patients with trauma, new models of care for hand and wrist surgery and their climate impact, patient harm, as well as pioneering projects in robot-assisted surgery and artificial intelligence.
Within orthopaedics, research is conducted in the following areas at KI DS: registry-based research, medical image interpretation using artificial intelligence, implant research, and shoulder joint research.
By combining patient-centred clinical studies, advanced methodologies, and epidemiology, we can quickly translate research into benefits for healthcare.
