Marc Suárez-Calvet, MD, PhD, is a neurologist and Group Leader at the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center and the Neurology Department of Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, Spain. An ERC Starting Grant awardee, his research focuses on blood-based biomarkers of neurodegeneration and brain aging, with work published in leading journals including Nature Medicine, JAMA Neurology, and Neurology. He trained clinically and scientifically across Europe, with research appointments in Munich, London, and Gothenburg. In recognition of his contributions to Alzheimer’s research, he received the Alzheimer Prize 2021 from the Spanish Society for Neurology.
