Despite the explosion of high-tech applications in modern society, there are still big gaps in our understanding of how people with dementia or MCI (mild cognitive impairment) cope with these developments. Louise Nygård is researching into how this technology can be adapted to meet their needs and how they can best be supported in its use.

Her research group has developed two assessment tools to evaluate how difficult it is to use certain applications, and what skills are needed to do so successfully, and to evaluate how elderly people use everyday technology that confronts us at home and in public places.
