Anna Nager's research

My research is strongly rooted in family medicine and spans psychiatric illnesses, respiratory diseases, and informatics in primary care.

Anna Nager, docent at the Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care, NVS.

Research Focus

My current research focus is relational continuity of care in primary care. I am the principal supervisor for a doctoral project within the PRAXIS study that examines the importance of relational continuity in primary care for two common chronic diseases: asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The PRAXIS study is a longitudinal study in which data on patients with asthma and COPD have been collected on several occasions since 2005 from several regions (Uppsala, Gävleborg, Örebro, Dalarna, Värmland, Västmanland, Sörmland, and Stockholm), both in primary care and in hospitals. The PRAXIS study includes patient surveys and medical record data that are linked to national registers, such as the Swedish National Patient Register, the Prescribed Drug Register, and the Cause of Death Register. This data enables a unique and detailed analysis of relational continuity of care in primary care.
