The purpose of SFO-V's strategic initiatives is to strengthen and develop the collaboration between health science and healthcare practices through high-quality research and activities that promote cooperation, knowledge exchange, and social innovation.
Awarded projects - Project Funding 2026
SFO-V's project funding is a recurring initiative aimed at contributing to high-quality research within SFO-V's four core areas: Co-creation, Self-management, eHealth, and Bio-behavioral Health Care Science.
In the 2026 call, a total of 21 projects are funded with 600,000 SEK each, allocated as 11 grants to junior researchers and 10 grants to senior researchers.

Global Bridges 2026
Global Bridges is an initiative where junior researchers at KI (or a group of researchers) can invite an established international researcher in health science to Sweden for a week. The purpose is to support the career development of junior researchers and to create both international networks and long-term research collaborations. The initiative is appreciated by both the junior researchers who are accepted and the senior researchers who are invited and generously share their careers and career choices. The program consists of a seminars, lectures, clinical visits, etc., determined by the junior and senior researchers together. The week include a wo-day seminar.
