Correlation between LUTS and psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents
Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) often co-occur with psychiatric disorders in adolescents, including anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With a better understanding of the correlation between these disorders, new strategies could be developed for more accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment for patients with LUTS and concurrent psychiatric conditions.
This registry study is conducted in collaboration with the child psychiatry department at Mount Sinai, New York.
