The Stockholm Center for Return to Work brings together researchers, healthcare providers, employers, occupational health services, policymakers, and social insurance actors to strengthen sustainable return-to-work (RTW) processes. Our ambition is to build a leading interdisciplinary research environment that not only generates knowledge, but translates evidence into real-world impact.

Sustainable return to work requires coordinated efforts across systems — from healthcare and workplaces to insurance and policy. That is why collaboration with stakeholders is central to our mission. We work closely with partners to identify real-world challenges, co-develop solutions, test interventions in practice, and ensure that research findings are relevant, implementable, and scalable.

Stakeholder Advisory Board

To ensure our work is grounded in real-world needs and policy priorities, we are supported by a Stakeholder Advisory Board. This board includes representatives from major occupational health service providers, employer organizations, patient groups, the social insurance agency, and regulatory authorities. Their input ensures that our activities are anchored in the perspectives of end users, supporting implementation relevance and increasing the likelihood of uptake of our recommendations.

Members of the Stakeholder Advisory Board:

  • Scania Företagshälsovård
  • Strategisk HR Region Stockholm
  • Globenhälsan Företagshälsovård
  • Sveriges Företagshälsor
  • FINSAM Samordningsförbundet Sollentuna Upplands Väsby - Sigtuna
  • Praktikertjänst AB
  • The Social Insurance Agency
  • Unionen (largest private sector union)
