Addressing Key Knowledge Gaps
Stockholm Center for Return to Work
Gap 1
First, we will develop core indicators for RTW and stay-at-work to enable consistent, cross-sector measurement.
Gap 2
Second, we will design and validate reliable prognostic tools to guide decision-making in clinical and workplace contexts.
Gap 3
Third, we will investigate how employers interpret and fulfill their responsibilities regarding work adaptations, and create recommendations, tools, and training to support them.
Gap 4
Fourth, we will implement and evaluate workplace-based measures that foster sustained work participation together with the occupational health service partners.
Gap 5
We will conduct controlled trials in primary health care to advance equitable access to evidence-based RTW interventions.
Gap 6
To address broader structural issues, we will identify and propose solutions to systemic misalignments between policy, service delivery, and workplace practices.
Gap 7
To translate research into real-world impact, we will promote innovation...
Gap 8
...and develop educational models to bridge knowledge and training gaps among healthcare professionals, employers, and other stakeholders.
