Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM)
The Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM) operates within the Department of Medicine, Huddinge (MedH) at Karolinska Institutet, Campus Flemingsberg. The research at CIM is focused around studies of the human immune system and infection-immunity in humans.

About the Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM)
The Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM) is headed by Professor Anna Norrby-Teglund. CIM:s vision is to be one of the leading translational research centers within immunology and infectious diseases in Europe. Since its inauguration in 2002, the center has rapidly grown and gained national and international recognition.

Our research
To tackle many of the problems that several infectious diseases impose, we need a better understanding of the human immune system and immune reactions towards pathogens in humans.

Clinical Infectious Diseases
The research at this sub-unit is focused around studies on how the interplay between humans and micro-organisms results in disease and how this can be treated and prevented.

Technological platforms
The Center has invested a significant amount of economic resources to amass cutting edge technology and scientific expertise.
