About the Ethics unit at LIME

The Ethics unit at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management, and Ethics (LIME) at Karolinska Institutet is one of many units at LIME and is also part of the Center for Healthcare Ethics (CHE). The Ethics unit conducts teaching, research, and advisory services in medical ethics.

Research at the Ethics unit covers both ethical issues related to healthcare (clinical ethics) and medical research ethics. In a current project, we have expanded to address ethical issues within social services. We teach in several programs at both undergraduate and advanced levels in basic ethics, clinical ethics, research ethics, and the philosophy of science. Additionally, we teach doctoral students, doctoral supervisors and physicians in specialist training.
