Green Light for new principal supervisor at LIME

A Green Light is an assessment of the suitability as supervisor with focus on track-record and time to supervise. The decision of Green Light is made by a group at the department. The Head of the department and the Director of doctoral studies are always involved in the decision-making. The Green Light is only valid at the department issuing the Green Light. The Green Light is connected to a specific doctoral position and should not be considered as a general approval to supervise.

Applying for a green light to be a principal supervisor is to be done when:

A) You are to become a new principal supervisor for an earlier accepted doctoral student (change of supervisor constellation) 

A supervisor who wishes to become a new principal supervisor for a an earlier accepted doctoral student at LIME is to send in, as pdf by e-mail, to ingrid.smedberg@ki.se:

  1. Form application for green light
  2. Form LIME Financing plan
  3. Fill out, and sign, template letter concerning financial support
  4. Certificate of supervisor training and web course (web course not older than five years)
  5. Form change of supervisor group

B) You are applying for green light for application for KID funds or likewise

A supervisor who wants to apply for funding from KID or likewise and needs a green light for this application is to send in, as pdf by e-mail, to ingrid.smedberg@ki.se:  

  1. Form application for green light. Make sure to write in the designated box ("Comments and other relevant information") about your previous experience of supervising doctoral students (if any), and how you plan to provide good supervision for a future doctoral student
  2. Certificate of supervisor training and web course (web course not older than five years)
  3. CV, max 2-3 pages
