Neurobiologin vid anorexia nervosa

Syftet med vår forskning är att förstå de neurobiologiska mekanismer som förklarar hur självsvälten vid anorexia nervosa uppkommer och vidmakthålls.

I detta syfte studerar vi markörer i blod från individer med sjukdomen samt utför molekylära studier av experimentella modeller, däribland patientspecifika nervceller som genererats från stamceller, samt studerar medicinska register. Vi samarbetar med Centre for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI) på MEB, KI.
