LifeGene 2.0 - new data release
New data release: apply now and access LifeGene for only 25,000 kr
LifeGene is a prospective Swedish cohort available for research projects aimed at understanding how genes, environment, and lifestyle affect health. Following new legislation, the LifeGene database now also includes extended registry follow-up with diagnostic data.
LifeGene 2.0 contains survey data from 42,000 adults, as well as baseline clinical and functional biomarker assessments from 30,000 participants. Linkage to health registries from Socialstyrelsen has been completed with up to 15 years of follow-up. Imputed genotype data are available for 15,000 participants.
We welcome applicants affiliated with any Swedish university to apply for data access following ethical approval. A discounted application fee is available until the end of 2026.
