HealthyMoms4MentalHealth
The project HealthyMoms4MentalHealth aims to create an app to promote psychological resilience during pregnancy and after birth.
This project aims to develop and evaluate an app to promote psychological resilience during the perinatal period. The app is being developed together with health care professionals (e.g., midwives, obstetricians, psychologists), researchers and reference groups of pregnant women using a Human-Centred Design approach. The app contains a broad range of psychoeducation, exercises, and information tailored for pregnancy and transition to parenthood and runs gestational week 12 to six weeks after birth. The app will be assessed in a randomized controlled trial where we will recruit approximately 450 women in early pregnancy.
Primary outcome will be psychological resilience and secondary outcomes include mental wellbeing, depressive symptoms and fear of childbirth. Data collection is ongoing in several regions in Sweden.
