For health professionals

As an employee within child healthcare, primary care, or other parts of the health and medical services, you meet families every day in various situations and with different needs. The research program Early Equity aims to promote the well-being and mental health of young children through interventions that are both evidence-based and practically applicable.

We develop and evaluate interventions to

  • Strengthen parents in their parenting role, with a focus on children's early development, security, and mental health.
  • Adapt to healthcare services, so that the interventions are practical in everyday encounters with parents and children.
  • Provide knowledge and tools for those working with young children and their families.

Our research projects are conducted in close collaboration with Region Stockholm, primary care services, and civil society. Through pilot studies, feasibility studies, and randomized controlled trials, we investigate both the effects and practical implementation — how interventions and measurement methods work in real-world healthcare settings.

Currently, several different studies are underway within the program. If you would like to learn more about specific interventions, ongoing research projects, or how your unit could collaborate with us in the future, you’re welcome to read more here on the site or contact us directly.
