CMR education and training
Through seminars, workshops, courses and visiting scholar programs, the Centre for Metastasis Research (CMR) aims to train the next generation of scientists and clinician-scientists working in cancer research.
Education and training are central components of the Centre for Metastasis Research (CMR). Through the KI–NYU Metastasis Alliance and other international partnerships, CMR provides opportunities for students, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and clinician-scientists to engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary learning environments.
The centre supports:
- International student and researcher exchange programs
- Joint seminars, workshops, and educational events
- Doctoral and postdoctoral training in metastasis research
- Cross-disciplinary mentorship involving basic, translational, and clinical researchers
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies, data science, precision oncology, and experimental therapeutics
- Recruitment and career development of outstanding early-career researchers and clinician-scientists
- Development of future leaders in metastasis research and cancer care
CMR aims to attract talented young researchers from Sweden and abroad and provide an environment where emerging scientific leaders can establish independent research programs, build international collaborations, and contribute to advances in metastasis research and patient care.
By connecting trainees and researchers across institutions, disciplines, and countries, CMR seeks to establish a sustainable international training ecosystem that accelerates innovation and strengthens the global metastasis research community.
