”Is social sustainability crucial and relevant?
To be honest, the concept of “social sustainability” sounded boring to me at first. Social sustainability. So definite and final. Grey. Social engineering. No passion, none of the beauty, life, complexity, that I burn for... and what does sustainability even mean – does it entail that everything is fixed and static? Cemented? And social, what is social in this context? It’s all so intangible. And the closer you look, the more you discover how complicated it all is. So many factors involved – and how do you choose what to include? How do you define it?
