3D-EM - user guidelines

Only registered users can have access to the facility. If you are interested in using our facility, we are happy to set up an initial meeting to discuss your project. During this meeting, a training plan will be decided upon. Registration is then to be completed on the 3D-EM Core Facility iLab site and must be approved by the PI of the user.

Access and booking

New users

Contact us to set up an initial meeting to discuss your project. During this meeting, a training plan will be decided upon. Send an email to 3d-em@cmb.ki.se.

At this point, the new user must be registered in iLab (with a valid project number) to begin training. Most users will initially train on the Talos 120C TEM, followed by a test, before being trained on other equipment in the facility.

To be granted card access to the facility, the user must complete a short safety training session (10 minutes) with a facility manager.

Registration

Only registered users can have access to the facility.

Registration is to be completed on the 3D-EM Core Facility's iLab site and must be approved by the PI of the user. The PI provides each user with a project number to facilitate monthly payment via iLab.

Follow the link additional information about how to register an iLab account if you are a KI user, or for how to schedule equipment once your iLab account is registered.
