Combined Research and Clinical Oncology/ Haematology Positions
These competitive positions offer the possibility of a combined clinical and research position for the successful recipient. 70% of time will be either in the Dept. of OnkPat, MedS or MedH followed by a 30% appointment at KUH within oncology or haematology.
Two Senior Lecturer positions in clinical oncology or hematology, combined with a clinical position at Karolinska University Hospital (focus on research) have been appointed to two renowned scientists and clinicians Theodoros Foukakis and Hareth Nahi.
They are expected to be involved in pre-clinical, translational, and clinical studies within oncology or hematology. The studies may include improved prediction of treatment outcome, identification of new treatment strategies, increased understanding of resistance mechanisms, as well as how these mechanisms can change during disease progression and development of tumor heterogeneity.
It is also of great importance to try to understand how established new treatments can be optimized as well as how to tailor individual treatments and, if possible, minimize the side effects. 70% of the recipient's work will be conducted at a KI department followed by a 30% appointment at KUH in Theme cancer within oncology or haematology.
