Neurology at KI DS

Within the Neurology department at Danderyd Hospital, extensive and varied research is conducted in neuroinflammation, cerebrovascular diseases, other neurological conditions, and speech therapy. Research activities include both small, academic single-center studies and larger national and international collaborations in multicenter studies.

Research focus

Research in neurology covers neuroinflammatory and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as communication, speech and swallowing difficulties. Clinical and translational studies investigate conditions such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, migraine, cardiovascular-related neurological conditions and neurological rehabilitation. The aim is to improve diagnosis, treatment, recovery and quality of life for patients with neurological disorders.
