Tove Fall
Professor of Molecular Epidemiology, Uppsala University
Title: ”Omics in Large Population-Based Studies: Recent and Future Developments”
Bio: Prof. Tove Fall research focuses on the integration of omics technologies in large-scale population-based studies with the main focus on determining causes and consequences of cardiometabolic disease. She serves as a Professor of Molecular Epidemiology at Uppsala University since 2019, where she leads a multi-disciplinary team.
David Cesarini
Professor of Economics, New York University
Title: "Improving Causal Inference in Genome-Wide Association Studies"
Bio: David Cesarini is a Professor of Economics at New York University. His research interests are interdisciplinary, spanning health, labor, and statistical genetics. He is a co-founder of the Social Science Genetic Association Consortium (SSGAC), a multidisciplinary initiative that fosters collaboration between geneticists and social scientists. Through his work at SSGAC, he has been involved in multiple genome-wide association studies of complex traits and in the development of novel methods for integrating genetic data into social science research.
