Exploring the Psychological, Emotional and Behavioural Effects of Artificial Lighting

Researchers at Karolinska Institutet, in collaboration with Stockholm University, are currently seeking participants for a study investigating how artificial lighting affects psychological states, emotions and behaviours.

Who is eligible to participate?  

Participation is open to individuals 18 years and over who can read standard text on paper and on a computer screen (i.e., no severe visual impairments).  

What does participation involve?  

Participation involves a single 60-minute session in which individuals’ complete questionnaires, perform behavioural tasks, and have their heart rate continuously monitored using an electrocardiogram. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups with different artificial light exposures. The data collection will be conducted anonymously and will only be reported at group levels to prevent indirect identification of participants.  

Compensation  

Those that complete the study will receive a multi-shop gift card worth 150 SEK as compensation for their time.
