Women's Health, Mood and Microbes event celebrating International Women's Day 2024 was a huge success!
On March 7 2024, we welcomed over 400 people to Aula Medica where they engaged in talks highlighting the microbiome, PCOS, ADHD, mental health during pregnancy and post-partum, restoring the microbiota in c-section births and discussing different products that are available to "treat" common gynecological issues.

Juan Du and the researchers at KI are investigating how the body’s naturally occurring good bacteria, the so-called commensal bacteria, can protect us against infections, such as HPV, human papillomavirus. The bacteria could be used for preventive purposes, in so-called probiotics, which can strengthen the body’s defenses and reduce the need for antibiotics.

CTMR, under the lead of Professor Lars Engstrand, has received European funding through the Horizon 2020 framework and is one of the 17 collaborators of the ONCOBIOME project (2019-2023). This ONCOBIOME project aims to explore the role of the microbiome in cancer, from early detection and diagnosis to treatment and prognosis.“
