Laura Poole

As Coordinator for the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology and the Divisions of Virology and Immunology, and Tumor Biology at Karolinska Institutet, I play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of MTC.

 

I provide broad administrative and operational support, coordinate meetings, events, travel, logistics, inventory and ordering, and manage departmental web content and communication. I work closely with leadership, researchers, and administrative colleagues to facilitate systems, protocols, and workflows that support research excellence.

 

Beyond core coordination, I have contributed through scientific illustration and outreach activities, helping translate and communicate the work of the department.

 

Through this integrative role, I support collaboration, continuity, and efficiency across MTC, a contribution recognized with the MTC:er of the Year 2023 award.
