Prenatal metabolic exposure and risk of subsequent metabolic and psychiatric disorders
The purpose of our research is to find out if, and if so, to what extent the mother's obesity, diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, hypertension and related metabolic conditions are associated with the child's later metabolic and mental health, and if birth factors mediate or modify these associations. We study also possible protective factors. We do these studies in data from nation-wide registries.
