BLISS – A study about health, stress, and well-being

This study - Biopsychosocial mechanisms Linking Health and Social Stress (BLISS) – is a research project launched in 2022 for the purpose of increasing our knowledge about individual, social, and societal factors’ influence on inequalities in health, stress, and well-being among people in Sweden.

Health, stress, and well-being are not the same across different parts of the population. To better understand the reason for these differences, Karolinska Institutet is conducting a study in collaboration with Yale University (USA). The aim is to gain knowledge and understanding of what leads to ill health and reduced well-being for different groups during different stages of life. This knowledge is important for understanding how different people deal with stress, but also how society can offer all people equal conditions for a healthy and good life.
