Cancer Research KI - Outreach
Cancer Research KI Outreach Working Group (WG) aims to inform about cancer research at KI by reaching out to both internal and external audiences. We promote the knowledge of cancer research through organising events for the general public, patients, healthcase professionals and scientists, mapping all cancer researchers at KI in a PI database, disseminating information by newsletter, social media, website, videos, email and more.

The ninth edition of the cancer workshop for patients and patient organizations, organized by Cancer Research KI in collaboration with RCC Stockholm-Gotland, will take place online on 23 April at 13:00. This edition, titled “Livskvalitet när man lever med cancer”, features confirmed speakers Helene Rundqvist and Marco Gerling. Registration is now open, and the full program and speaker list will be announced soon.
The webinar will be held in Swedish, and a recording will be made available afterward through our channels.

8th Cancer Workshop for Patient Organizations, 23 Oct 2025
The 8th Cancer workshop for patient organizations will be held online on October 23, 2025 and will be conducted in Swedish.
During the event, participants will gain insights into cutting-edge research in the cancer field, this year with a special focus on cancers common in men.

Cancer Workshop for Patient Organisations 2025
Together with RCC Stockholm-Gotland, Cancer Research KI at Karolinska Institutet is organizing the seventh cancer workshop for patient organizations.
The workshop will be held online on April 10th (13:00-14:35). During the event, participants will gain insights into cutting-edge research in the cancer field, this year with a special focus on cancers common in women.
Speakers: Renske Altena, Marike Gabrielson, Yvonne Wengström and Hanna Milerad.

Webinar on "Clinical Treatment Studies" with Cancerfonden, 7 April 2025
On April 7th 2025, Cancer Research KI is organizing a joint webinar with the Swedish Cancer Foundation (Cancerfonden) to highlight clinical researchers who have received grants within the Clinical Treatment Studies (Kliniska behandlingsstudier) call.

Cancer Research KI works closely with patient organizations and patient representatives to promote the interactions between patients and researchers. Together with RCC Stockholm-Gotland, Cancer Research KI organizes online cancer workshops for patient organisations to address opportunities for interaction and communication between different patient organisations, researchers and the general public. All presentations and discussions are in Swedish.
