In this second step, you will be able to start applying by selecting your academic status.
In the application form, you will be asked to select your housing preferences, provide us with personal information like academic status and contact person at KI etcetera. You will also be asked to state for what period you are looking for housing. In the last step in the application form you may also upload a letter of acceptance/invitation.
A confirmation email will be sent to you when your application has been registered. You can login to your user account any time to view your application.

Exchange student
Exchange students are studying at a partner university that has an exchange agreement with Karolinska Institutet. Exchange students must upload the acceptance letter from an international coordinator at the Education Support Office at KI.
Fee-paying bachelor/master student
Fee-paying bachelor and master students have been admitted to a program at KI and are charged a tuition fee (students from a non-EU country). Fee-paying students must upload the acceptance letter from Universityadmissions.se confirming that they are admitted to a program at KI and that they will pay a tuition fee for this program.
PhD student
PhD students have been admitted to a PhD-program or doing a doctoral project at KI.
PhD students must upload a document confirming acceptance to a PhD program at KI.
PostDoc/Guest researcher/Guest lecturer
PostDocs have a temporary employment/postdoctoral research position at KI. Guest researchers are not employed by KI but are conducting their research at a department at KI. PostDocs, guest researchers and guest lecturers must upload the invitation letter from their contact person at KI. If you have not received an invitation letter, there is an invitation form that also can be used (see guides and forms for KI Housing applicants).
Internship and traineeship students within Erasmus +
Internship students and traineeship students who are coming to KI within Erasmus +.
Internship students and traineeship students coming within Erasmus + or another mobility program must upload supportive documentation that confirms that they are invited to KI and are coming within a mobility program (a learning agreement for Erasmus +).
