In this second step, you will be able to start applying by selecting your academic status.
In the application form, you will be asked to select your housing preferences, provide us with personal information like academic status and contact person at KI etcetera. You will also be asked to state for what period you are looking for housing. In the last step in the application form you may also upload your supportive documentation.
A confirmation email will be sent to you when your application has been registered. You can login to the customer portal any time to view your application.
Apply for KI Housing accommodation

1. Exchange student
Exchange students are studying at a partner university that has an exchange agreement with Karolinska Institutet.
2. Fee-paying bachelor/master student
Fee-paying students have been admitted to a program at KI and are charged a tuition fee.
3. Erasmus+
Internship students and traineeship students coming within Erasmus+ or another mobility program (i.e. SEMP, Eurolife and NeurotechEU).
4. PhD students at KI
PhD students admitted to a doctoral education program at KI (students at research level) who have started their studies within the last six months.
5. Guest researcher/Employed researcher at KI
Guest researcher: Researchers who are visiting KI for research provided that they are not employed by KI.
Employed researcher at KI: Employed researchers at KI with the following conditions;
- early in their careers, maximum 5 years after a PhD degree
- have been employed by KI for a maximum of 6 months
