KI Housing cleaning checklist

Remove all personal belongings and dispose of garbage according to the recycling instructions. Clean all rooms, bathroom, kitchen, furniture, lamps, windows, and ventilation according to the cleaning instructions below. Please do not leave any items behind as leftovers may affect your deposit. We also ask you to report any damages or vermin in the customer portal.

  • Floor drain (remove the lid and clean underneath it)

  • Shower (If there is a shower curtain, wash it according to the washing instructions. If there are glass doors, clean thoroughly and remove the list underneath the glass doors and clean it before putting it back)
  • Sink (inside and outside)
  • Sink Faucet/Drain
  • Toilet (inside and outside)
  • Toilet roll holder
  • Garbage bin
  • Remember to remove all personal belongings (including toiletries such as soap, shampoo and other items)

Kitchen (if applicable)

  • Sink/Sink Area
  • Faucet/Drain
  • Counter tops
  • Cupboards
  • Drawers
  • Kitchen Utensils
  • Stove/oven (Top, inside the oven and behind the stove. Remember to clean all sides and the floor underneath it)
  • Kitchen fan and fan filter
  • Baking trays and oven rack
  • Refrigerator/Freezer (clean and if necessary - defrost)
  • Clean all garbage bins
  • Remove all personal belongings and throw away any leftover food

Dining area

  • Walls

  • Windows (not in KI Residence Solna)
  • All furniture
  • All lamps
  • Remove all personal belongings and throw away any leftover food

General

  • Electrical box
  • Electrical sockets
  • Light switches
  • Radiators
  • Doors, frames, thresholds
  • Skirting boards
  • Ventilation: Please remove dust that is blocking the airflow from the ventilation.
  • Report any damages or vermin in the accommodation in the customer portal
  • Remove all personal belongings and throw away any leftover food in all rooms

Common areas in shared apartments (if applicable)

  • Cupboards
  • Refrigerator and freezer
  • Kitchen (remember to throw away your remaining food)
  • Clean the floor, all furniture, all lamps, carpet in the living room
  • Storage room
  • Remove all personal belongings and throw away any leftover food

Important! Please make sure to remove all personal belongings and dispose of all garbage, sorting it according to the recycling instructions. Do not leave any items for the next tenant. 

Any items left behind (including toiletries, food and spices) may result in deductions from your deposit and/or additional fees.
